In her first televised interview since declaring her presidential candidacy, Michele Bachmann accused President Obama of having a shocking" lack of empathy toward Americans victimized by the struggling economy.
I talk to people. I care about people, the Minnesota Republican told Fox News Channels Sean Hannity Wednesday evening. The president has no understanding of what is happening in real people's lives.

Perhaps. But I have not perceived that of Michele. She seems a truly straight shooter. I will wait and see what develops. I have a feeling that if Sarah tosses her pelty in the ring, Michele will not be doing the kind of idiot things Rollins did in her name. She is probably more naive than sneaky. I would count Rollins’ slime to Rove’s account, not Michele’s.
Yeah, ‘empathy to the masses’ sounds too much like ‘hope and change’.
I think you are confusing empathy with sympathy. You offer people your sympathy and prayers but not you empathy. You may empathasize with a friend who’s happy the noisy neighbor was just run over by a truck, but you don’t sympathize with him and he doesn’t need it.
Part I kind of sucked.

For crying out loud, she is obviously referring to Obama’s exhibit of indifference to the catastrophe around him, the golf, the stupid jokes, the expensive parties, the endless vacations...
