I totally agree with on Obama. But unfortunately we have a lot of stupid people in this Country, that is how he got to be President in the first place. In order for the GOP candidate to win they are going to have to carry Independents and the woman vote and Mrs. Palin can not carry either one of those groups. She will have to carry important states like PA, FL and OH, don’t think she can turn the page back and reintroduce herself to those that don’t like her. The only one who could do this is a Trump, Giuliani or Christie type more in the middle of the road. They won’t seem as too extreme or threatening. You need to remember in November 2010 most of those things mentioned on your list were present and the Democrats still held the Senate. When times get bad and more and more Americans turn to the Government for help and there is less chance that they will vote the incumbents out. Over 40 million people are on food stamps you don’t think they are going to go out and vote? Even if half go out, that is a pretty good head start for Obama. People have the idea that the worse things get the better chance the GOP has. I don’t agree with that. The worse things get the more dependent people get and that ensures Democrat votes. Just look at the major cities and their voting patterns. They will not bite the hand that feeds them.

Three words: Ronald Wilson Reagan. He couldn’t win either for almost the exact reasons you listed. More moderate? Yeah, John McCain worked real well last time. Btw, Obama’s approval rating according to some polls is starting to become radioactive in battleground states like PA, OH, and especially Florida where he can’t even fill an auditorium in liberal Miami. Come on, conservatives are tired of mushy moderates, no more pale pastels as Reagan said, let’s elect a conservative because in this climate Obama’s such a disaster that my garbage can could beat him.

You need to remember that the Dems got shellacked in Nov 2010, it was a bigger loss than 1994! And they were defeated because of the tea party and the ineptness of Obama, we may have even won the Senate if it wasn’t for RINOs dumping on Chrisitne O’Donell and refusing to fund her race. They got their asses handed to them, man the glass will always be half empty for you huh?

>But unfortunately we have a lot of stupid people in this Country, that is how he got to be President in the first place.

Yeah, but maybe some of them are realizing what a mistake they made.

>In order for the GOP candidate to win they are going to have to carry Independents and the woman vote and Mrs. Palin can not carry either one of those groups.

I don’t know about that. Anything is possible.

>She will have to carry important states like PA, FL and OH, don’t think she can turn the page back and reintroduce herself to those that don’t like her.

Maybe she can, if she works at it.

>The only one who could do this is a Trump, Giuliani or Christie type more in the middle of the road. They won’t seem as too extreme or threatening.

And yet McCain was probably the epitome of the moderate Republican, and he lost. Those people who see Palin as “extreme” or “threatening” probably get all their info from the CLAMs-Corrupt Liberal American Media. If they were to take a look at Palin’s actual record, they might find out differently.

>You need to remember in November 2010 most of those things mentioned on your list were present and the Democrats still held the Senate.

We won the House. We could have won the Senate too, if things were different.

>When times get bad and more and more Americans turn to the Government for help and there is less chance that they will vote the incumbents out.

On the other hand, people who are frustrated with the economy might well vote the bums out.
