That being said, I would be weary about any dog from the pound since their pedigree is often questionable and their upbringing unknown.

I currently have 2 Brittanies...I have had Shepherds, pit bulls, labs, I have had dogs from the pounds....

I do not allow my dogs to hurt people and my cats...they are all sweethearts either by nature or nurture....some take more training than others...but my mutts from the pound were always more sweet from the get go...

Please don’t misunderstand; I’ve had numerous pound pups and had nothing but pleasant experiences with them all. I simple mean to say that pit bulls are often given up to the ASPCA or HSUS because the owners cannot wrangle them properly. Some of them can be troublesome. It’s just a matter of being careful.
