I guess if you only own a pickup, you’re screwed. Who came up with this crazy law? Someday it will be only high dollar cars allowed on the streets.

This sounds like the kind of crap you’d see in an HOA. But that being said, what could possibly be the reasoning for such a law?

Private truck on private driveway no good? That sounds a lot like a “TAKING”.
If the city feels the WHOLE city would profit by this measure at the trouble of truck owners, then why not compensate them...?
Interesting that as the state intrudes deeper and deeper into peoples’ lives they have less and less money at their disposal.

I think Flossmor IL has a similar law as well.
Reminds me when worked for my previous company, I got in trouble for parking my truck in front of some low level exec’s window. She was originally from Maryland in the DC area. I was told to park the truck away from the building.
Usually the liberal types are the ones that complain about cheaper vehicles especially old pickup trucks !

Government= Can’t provide jobs, Can’t keep people from losing their homes, Can’t keep our borders secure, can’t keep our children safe from homos and other perverts, but can keep you safe from the sight of pick-ups trucks parked in a homeowners driveway.........

Sounds like a bunch of limosine-liberal racists, which use tactics such as this to keep certain “undesirables” out of “their” town, under the guise of not wanting to alter the towns “character” or “complexion”. What they are really saying is, “All you darkies and poor white trash find somewhere else to live.”

I’d be willing to bet most modern pickups will not fit in the garage of most of the older homes. Hell, my brand new in 2003 cracker-box won’t even allow me to park two vehicles side-by-side. My 1994 K-3500 Extended Cab Dually would not have fit, even at an angle.

Thugs are thugs and always will be. Who is REALLY to blame for this fiasco? I suggest the idiot voters. Next election they will probably re seat the same politicians that is screwing them. I say let them get screwed on and on until they wise up, if that is possible. Those same citizens will undoubtedly vote Obama again too.

And what if you’re like me and live in a house that doesn’t freaking HAVE a garage? Would I have to sell my scratched, faded, rusty 1996 Ram? That’s total insanity.

They voted the scum in, they can vote them out again.
But until they do, they should do as the masters command and bow their heads when one passes by. One never looks one’s better in the eye

Tallahassee need to pass a uniform law.
note how they admit they can’t ban ownership.
This is just the “keep the wrong sort out” delusion.

A few years ago there was a situation in Frisco, TX (high-end gated community on Legacy Dr., north of highway 121) where a HOA told a home owner he couldn't park his truck in his truck in his driveway... he owned a new Ford F-150 pick-up. The HOA said if it was a Lincoln pick-up (or other "luxury" truck) he'd be able to leave in his driveway.
I believe the HOA relented after the $h** storm unleashed not long after the resident went public with his situation.

I don’t care if the land doubled thru the crisis, is it worthwhile? No thanks. Where I live, a pickup truck is a badge of honor, and you get extra points for however many guns are in the rack.
