LOL Can't wait to see that! Go Huntsman.
They are promoting him because there is NO difference between Huntsman & Obama.
I’m in Utah and I know this.
He will have to depend on the northern part of the state, the liberals (Universities and all) to carry him over the finish line.
But believe me when I tell you that ALL of my neighbors, etc, and all were astonished at their good fortune when they learned that Obama was dispatching him to China; and out of our hair.
They all had a spring in their step, amazed at our good fortune!
I can’t see any situation where he wins the nomination so if he’s good for taking away votes from Romney then maybe we should be glad he’s getting in.
Who ever they praise the most is the one they fear the least. Who ever they smear the most is the one they truly fear the most. Don’t let them decide who to run, make your own decision. They don’t spend gobs of money to smear a candidate for no reason. Think about it. Its time to take out the entire current DC structure, vote for someone that has the courage to do it.
You stinker.
LOL
:)
Don’t need no more stinkin’ candidates! Adding in Palin, the ‘pubs have a great field to choose from.
FTMSM
That’s all I need to know. I’d love to know who Huntsman thinks will be voting for him. Last time I checked the MSM doesn’t vote in GOP primaries.
I’m hoping the two factions battle each other; there is no love lost between the two of them. This is a divided place...kinda like Browns/Steelers.
But there is an independent streak, too, that doesn’t want either one of them. Palin will get them. She appeals to their 2nd Amendment loyalty, federalism, energy independence, and the “wide open spaces” notion of states being able to keep their own land. Without being gobbled up by DC.
“How is he any different from Romney?”
He’s not.
I have a far out theory: Huntsman is a closet Tea Party supporter.
He’s a carbon copy of Romney. His intent is to take votes away from Romney in the primaries and clear the way for a conservative to get nominated.
In every war there are agent provocateurs who infiltrate the other side to spy and cause chaos. They pretend to be strong supporters of the enemy camp while supplying information or undermining the enemy’s position.
We know we have agent provocateurs in our camp. We call them RINOs. It would be logical to assume that there are agent provocateurs from our side causing chaos in the leftist ranks. These people are unknown and unnamed and don’t reveal themselves until after the conflict ends.
I think Rick Perry will get in. He’s sounding more and more like a candidate. Not sure how much longer Palin can wait, especially if Perry does jump in. At some point primary voters are going to say sh*t or get off the pot.
Oooops, out = “on”.
The Dems/Establishment have several backup strategies beyond simply backing Obama’s re-election:
1) Support Romney, as the consummate, go-along-to-get-along RINO insider for the GOP side,
2) Have Huntsman or another Establishment option as a backup for Romney’s still being a stiff of a politician,
3) Promote Bachmann to at best deter and at worst split votes from Palin’s entry into the campaign, and
4) Having now bathed The Donald in a faux GOP tea (party), prime him for a GOP vote-splitting Perotesque 3rd party run in the general election.
Thus, they’ll do their best to have Obama win, including supporting another GOP milquetoast for both easy defeat and complete malleability should the milquetoast by some bizarre chance actually win.
You’ve got to give them this: they’re 10X better at cynical political manipulation than anyone on our side.
I like your theory; wish it were true. I think the more conventional theory (as someone mentioned up thread) is more likely - he’s spending lots of money to become the media darling, the one the MSM fawns over. Not sure how he thinks that will buy him primary votes though...
I agree except for #3. I’m not sold that the media is trying to keep Palin out. I think the idea that the MSM/Dems fear her the most is pure nonsense. But if I’m wrong, I think the candidate they would push to keep her out would be Rick Perry. If Rick Perry gets in (which is seeming more likely) what is Palin’s argument for running against him?
On a more serious note, I am waiting to see who Hatch will endorse. Last night he was on Mark Levin sort of pretending to be a serious conservative. If he moves even one inch toward these two lightweights because of the church, he will suffer the same as Bennett and I will be out there leading the charge fully dressed.
The problem with these type politicians is they pander, pander, pander, thinking they need to suck up to both sides.
That Hatch/Kennedy scene is still foaming in my imagination.
Huntsman is an open-borders, carbon tax assclown.
NONE of these candidiates can beat Obama. Bachmann is angling for VP, and will likely get it. Pawlenty proved he is spineless by refusing to target Romney. It is looking grim, with the flawed Perry wooing Glenn Beck and looking certain to run.
