If Hezbollah launches another border war Israel may have no other option but to preempt the Iranian “deterrent”.

They're asserting protectorship of the Shrine Cities, thus carrying forward another step in their long-running duel with the Saudis and, before them, the Hashemites and the other Sunni guardians of Mecca and Medina.
