That grunting sound was moderator John King trying to interrupt practically every answer to every question. Nerve wracking.

I’ve been a fan pf President Reagan since he was my governor. I’m pretty sure there is nothing you could tell me about him that I don’t already know. Thanks anyway, though.

I did watch the debate and am watching it for the second time right now with my wife. Why do you ask?

You are right...the grunting was King and it was as annoying as heck. I’m watching the debate again right now and it’s impossible to ignore.

Romney looked “at ease” because none of those “tigers” dared confront him with the fact that he really is a “flip-flopping phony.”

Why cut any slack to the supposed front runner? Republicans need to grow some claws and fangs. They are involved in a a national life-and-death situation yet they always seem to fall back on their nicey-nicey Republican ways.

It's interesting that you appear to have disdain for a guy who prefers having secure borders at home instead of losing American lives securing borders in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I've never paid much attention to him in the past, but found his comments very Conservative and patriotic.

If you find him to be a crazy old kook, that's fine with me. I'll most likely vote for Palin.

Have a nice day.

One of my friends watched it tonight, I didn't catch it, I asked him how it was.

Basic answers, He said that no one attacked Romney, he was surprised, and that Pawlenty was boring, and he didn't see the big deal about Cain.

Ironically, he also said he had no idea Newt had been around that long...lol

One thing I heard that I liked that he told me...

One real conservative candidate who is a fighter gets in there, and they'll have this whole thing for the pickings, regardless of its Palin, Perry, or whomever.

I never said he wasn't a conservative. I said he is a kook and he is.

Right message (mostly) wrong messenger.

Not that it matters one iota but I would vote for Palin also.

Uh... did you see it? They were gracious towards one another and every single one was hard on Obama.

CNN's moderating jerk, John King, did his best to draw candidates into attacks on each other but they kept their heads.

Why cut any slack to the supposed front runner?

Because he's NOT the front runner. There isn't one. All the attacks were aimed at Obama. If you have a problem with that I'm sure there's a circular firing squad you can join.

It drove me up the wall too. John King, so-called “moderator,” being a jackass.

This is the media, once again, doing their best to pick our candidate for us. It will probably work too, because too many spineless voters, including many Freepers, will bleat the familiar "he's electable" mantra.

I'll never vote for him. I don't trust him to be nearly as conservative as he's currently pretending to be. I hope that the squishy republican establishment sees enough of this sentiment to put their support behind a better, more conservative candidate this time. I'm not going to be forced hold my nose again and vote for the lesser of two evils.

Saw the debate—Mitt did good—at least he didn’t stumble—Newt did well too, Bachmann came off well but I am a wee bit sick of her 22 foster children mantra. Spectrum was OK—but all the rest fell short—Where was Ron Paul? Somewhere on Free Mongo?

Newt did well putting things into historical context and hitting at some of the press stupidity around the immigration debate. I’m glad he’s in the debates.

No one did. I hope someone brings attention to his antics on the talk shows tomorrow.

Romney did "well" by LYING.

Romney supported TARP and lied saying he did not.

Watch the RomneyBOTs say he did "well" by lying.

Milt Romney (The Magic RINO and Poser):

"I also think it's important for us to nod to the president when he's right," Romney said....
Romney, who spoke at a dinner for the National Republican Senatorial Committee,
said he's pleased with the president's plans to "finish the job" in Iraq and Afghanistan
-- lines that drew applause from the partisan audience. He also applauded the president
for standing up to the auto industry.
"I hope he continues to be tough ....The former businessman even offered faint praise for
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, saying that after a series of initial missteps,
"I think he's finally getting close to the right answer."

I'm glad he's in it too. Heck, I'm glad they're all in it. Some answers from the various candidates were weak. Some were vague. Some were too politically correct. Some were good. I'll vote for whoever gets it because I want that phantom background, radical, pinko, American hating, country destroying bleep out of office.

As for the debate modertor--I enjoyed some of the questions from him and the audience. I don't mind them getting asked tough of difficult questions, but let them answer before you start clearing your throat. That was extremely irritating. They should have at least given them a minute to answer.

CNN set this up to suppress personalities.

That is why Cain, Paul and Bachman seemed muted compared to their usual demeanor.

This debate was created so nobody could “break out” and the MSM could pick their own winner.
