Activists cry foul over FBI probe (Obama's Chicago socialist terrorist pals)
Washington Post ^ | June 13, 2011 | Peter Wallsten

CHICAGO — FBI agents took box after box of address books, family calendars, artwork and personal letters in their 10-hour raid in September of the century-old house shared by Stephanie Weiner and her husband.

The agents seemed keenly interested in Weiner’s home-based business, the Revolutionary Lemonade Stand, which sells silkscreened infant bodysuits and other clothes with socialist slogans, phrases like “Help Wanted: Revolutionaries.” http://www.washingtonpost.com

The search was part of a mysterious, ongoing nationwide terrorism investigation with an unusual target: prominent peace activists and politically active labor organizers.

The probe — involving subpoenas to 23 people and raids of seven homes last fall — has triggered a high-powered protest against the Department of Justice and, in the process, could create some political discomfort for President Obama with his union supporters as he gears up for his reelection campaign.

The apparent targets are concentrated in the Midwest, including Chicagoans who crossed paths with Obama when he was a young state senator and some who have been active in labor unions that supported his political rise.

Investigators, according to search warrants, documents and interviews, are examining possible “material support” for Colombian and Palestinian groups designated by the U.S. government as terrorists.

Surely peaceful leftists wouldn’t provide material support to violent terrorist organizations. How can this be?

The search was part of a mysterious, ongoing nationwide terrorism investigation with an unusual target: prominent peace activists...

Why does the author think that "peace activists" would be an unusual target for a terrorism probe?

Anybody with half a brain knows that many (most?) so-called "peace" groups are just fronts for anti-American groups. Of course there's a natural nexus between such groups and support for international terrorism...

1. "They are “public non-violent activists with long, distinguished careers in public service, including teachers, union organizers and antiwar and community leaders,” said Michael Deutsch, a Chicago lawyer and part of a legal team.."

He(ck), I'd convict them on that alone...probably why I've never served on a jury

2. I'm absolutely amazed that this is taking place during Holder's term at DOJ.

Isn’t this another example of liberals who achieve the next level, and then pull up the ladder?

Didn’t Obama’s Uncle Joe Stalin do a purge like this of his former associates?

It might be an interesting conservative news project to find out what the difference is between these peace groups and others — surely there have to be hundreds more in this freak country.

“I’m absolutely amazed that this is taking place during Holder’s term at DOJ. “

It was called a “purge” under Stalin. The Trotsky affair was but the most famous.

These people may not be socialist/communist enough for 0bama, or they may have some ideology that clashes with Holder’s.

What? ANOTHER Weiner? What is it with all of these Weiners all of a sudden? Are we living in “Weiner World” or something? Or maybe this is just “The Age of Weiner”? I’ll tell you one thing though. If I were a Weiner, I think I’d keep my head down. Not a good time to be a Weiner at all, apparently.

Unions organizing and supporting terrorists and left-wing organizations.

Gee. There’s a surprise.

Or just crass envy? Could these have been stubborn Hillarites in 2008? (Forget the acronym, something like heck no something.)

One site you can go to for information on the marxist left is called “www.keywiki.org”. It has a Wikipedia format and you can search for pages on organizations and individuals.

There is so much information on the American Left that it will take decades to put the most important stuff on the internet. There is some at Wikipedia but much of it is laudatory or coverup stuff. Keywiki gives you the stuff they leave out.

There is an old book by Gannon , The Biography of the American Left, in three volumes. These are also useful.

The attorney for this group is Michael Deustch, a pro-communist member/leader of the old Communist Party USA legal front, the National Lawyers Guild. He has been in the Guild since at least their National Convention in 1979. His name keeps appearing in newspapers in recent months.

Apparently by accident, the agents left something behind: a packet of secret documents headlined “Operation Order,” laying out detailed instructions for the FBI SWAT team to find clues of Kelly’s activism, including personal finances or those of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, a far-left group he works with. The documents point to the FBI’s interest in Kelly’s foreign travel.

Oh, that's very believable. NOT!

Interesting point to remember: the Knight of The Long Knives was Hitler taking out the people who put him into power, so he would appear more moderate.
