From the testimony of a Houston police officer's widow to allegations of racism, a day-long legislative committee hearing Monday on a bill banning sanctuary cities brought the national immigration debate back to the Texas Capitol.
The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Transportation on Monday approved a bill that would ban cities from prohibiting police officers from inquiring about the immigration status of a person they detain. Gov. Rick Perry last week added the proposal to the legislature's special session agenda. A similar bill failed during the regular legislative session.
The issue drew an overflow crowd of advocates and opponents of the measure, with both sides staging rallies in anticipation of the hearing. In a weekend rally in favor of the legislation, a leading proponent blamed the Legislature's inaction on the issue on the number of Hispanics who serve in the Legislature.
If you want to know why we can't pass legislation in Texas it's because we have 37, no 36 Hispanics in the Legislature. So, that's part of our problem and we need to change those numbers, said Rebecca Forest, a co-founder of Immigration Reform Coalition of Texas. We need to do something about that in fact.
“I suppose they’ve all witnessed a crime; mainly, their own crossing of the border”
And every single thing they have done since.

Hyphenated Hispanolas getting their orders from Mexico, Central and South America to tear down America.
These anti-American criminals consider the United States an invader state---a foreign power imposed on Third World hellholes. They arrogantly refuse to refer to the US by its legal name. The US is known by Mexicans as el Norte, (the North), el Otro Lado (the Other Side), or Gringolandia (the Anglo Entity).
The disturbed lefts identity politics with its propensity to separate and balkanize America moves ahead apace with the era of Obama. You remember Obama? The post-racial president that was supposed to heal America? Yeah, that one.

They only look like they're mowing loans and flipping burgers. The main occupation of these hyphenated-separatists is creating chaos to divert attention from the Marxist Third World they are building on US soil.

Georgia wont be part of the proposed Latino homeland of Aztlán, but Latino civil rights leaders from Phoenix will march and protest in different parts of Atlanta next week for immigration laws they view as unjust. Latinos wont stay at the back of the bus anymore. We are taking over this land and anybody who doesnt like it should go back to Europe, says Jorge Serrano of Take Back Aztlán. Racism should not be tolerated anymore in this country. Trying to get rid of Latinos is nothing but racist, says Cecilia Maldonado of Chicanos Unidos Arizona, who will be meeting with Latino civil rights leaders in Atlanta to propose national boycotts. Freud would have a field day with these people----that "warrior" mentality evidences a distinct lack of self esteem. They actually think we are "frail white people." That's what the Japanese thought. The same mistake Mexicans made with Texans.

Mexico and 13 other Latin American countries file motions in U.S. federal court expressing opposition to Utahs new illegal immigration enforcement law. Mexico lists several reasons for its opposition to HB497, including the impediment of diplomatic relations, hindering trade and tourism, and possible harassment of Mexican citizens. Mexico respectfully submits that if HB497 is allowed to take effect, it will have significant and long-lasting adverse impact on U.S.-Mexico bilateral relations, and on Mexican citizens and other people of Latin American descent present in Utah.
In a separate motion, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay asked to join the brief.--SNIP--
