cap and trade Pawlenty does what other RINO’s do and that is he finds it easier to attack republicans than the left and the media.

If this clown ever got the nomination and I think he will not then he will quickly run to the left and say how he can work with them.
Right now he is trying to say anything to get elected and sadly some fool might not see it.

Among the other announced Republican presidential candidates, former governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota talks the most sense and shows the most courage.

I agree with Thomas Sowell.

Some fear that Governor Pawlenty doesn't have the charisma and fireworks rhetoric that they would like to see in a candidate.

Gross understatement. He's about as inspiring as carpet fuzz. I think he might be an able administrator, but I'm not sure that will win the White House, or turn aroun the nation. I don't see Pawlenty as a game changer for America.

Thanks for the ping jaz. I am not impressed by anybody actually in the running at this point. There's time.

Thomas Sowell appears to be jumping with both feet on the Tim Pawlenty bandwagon. I’d like to see someone argue that Dr. Sowell is a RINO. LOL!

Tim Pawlenty is a social and economical conservative, eminently electable, experienced, and well versed in the art of shoving tax cuts down liberal legislators’ throats. I’ll take this kind of “boring” any day.

Cap and Trade Pawlenty will (in every venue in which his lack of merit is debated) be referred to by his proper name. Just as Mitt Romneycare is referred to by his proper name.

Some steps into socialism are so egregious as to be unforgivable.

The RINO Theorem

Gingrich=Romney=Snowe=Graham=Lott=lunacy

RINO president + RINO House + RINO Senate = Socialism Lite = Obama

Thusly, we can say that:

RINO idiot candidate = 60% republican base turnout + 30% “independent” base turnout = Obama/collapse of the United States,

whereas: conservative candidate = 99% republican base turnout + 75% “independent” base turnout = conservative president/America is saved

I’m with you. Every time I see Pawlenty’s face, a voice in my head says, “Believes in Global Warming.” I always listen to the voices in my head....

I’m waiting for someone else to enter.
A true conservative who’s been tested by the media.
A person who shares my values.
A person who loves the United States and the Constitution.
A person who can inspire us again and help save our republic.
Now who could that be?....................

Courage? Pawlenty? Perhaps Professor Sowell read Pawlenty’s book and was affected subliminally.

Rather than just making insubstantial rips on Pawlenty you could compare another GOP contender favorably to him. Eventually we will be ordering from the menu and it doesn’t help the conservative cause to have the GOP Primary electorate unnecessarily polarized.

Sorry, but Pawlenty is only about a notch above Huckster on the “failed/subpar” ex-Governors list. Yet another example of the bottom of the barrel pol with an outsized ego who wants a promotion for mediocrity. No sale.

Don’t get me wrong, Pawlenty is better than at least half of the prospective republican candidates. I see no reason I couldn’t vote for him in the general if he won the primaries. However I’m not inclined to support him at this time. Wowing a crowd is not a necessary trait for an effective President, but it helps. And Pawlenty’s first debate performance was underwhelming to say the least. All I learned about him is he came from a union blue collar town, and that seemed to be his answer for half the questions.

He’s got a chance starting in 5 minutes to change that perception.
