I was a big "W" supporter and know his family. I overlooked how "W" profited off the Texas stadium deal and the way the Bush family in general has had their hands in the taxpayers pockets for decades. Some of the stuff Neil Bush has done over the years is sickening. Barbara Bush has no qualms about putting her claws in the taxpayers pocket. The whole family is that way. Why I thought "W" would be careful with our money was me turning a blind eye to reality. "W" spent money like crazy. I won't make that mistake again. There are things about Rick Perry those outside of Texas need to be clued in about. Some of us should have done the same thing with "W". "W" was a nice guy. The whole family is "nice" and "thoughtful". But that does not change the fact that none of them have really worked a day in their lives.
I voted for Perry every time he ran for office after he got the job when Bush left office to run for president. I did that because Perry was always the better candidate. A crappy one but a better one against all his opponents. If it came down to Perry vs Obama I'd hold my nose again. But we can do better than Rick Perry. Much better.
If Perry does run and does not resign the same day he announces I will be even more negative about him. I'd bet he will not resign if he does run because he has few if any skills outside of "public life". If he does announce and then resigns I'd be impressed. That would be a very conservative thing for him to do.....
I really want to see this primary get underway.
I agree wholeheartedly. I am also tired of holding my nose and voting for the lesser of two idiots.
