It is by design. There was no reason to stop the lights from signaling the debaters that their time was coming to an end. This is deliberate to keep us from remembering their answers.
Do not let them win. Focus and remember what they say. I knew cnn was a mistake; who accepted this mess for the Republicans?!? They should be removed.
