Let's see the data on "legal immigrants" who came here under the 1965 law ~ I live surrounded by such people and they are all doing well.

The "illegals" are not doing well.

We had a vastly superior immigration policy before 1965 than after. The numbers were reasonable and the requirements were more sound. We did a much better job of assimilation because those people who came wanted to assimilate.

Talk to the people in Minnesota who are struggling with the crime and the cultural conflict of the legal Somali Immigration. The same can be said of Maine as they struggle with Somali Immigration, again legal. Or perhaps talk to the people in Tennessee who have seen the number of Mosques explode with radical Muslims invading the area. Or you should go to Tyson's Corner in Northern Virgina and walk around and see all the women in full burkas. These immigrants who are transforming an area that use to be beautiful are nearly 100% legal.

And ask the families of the students killed at Virginia Tech by a Korean Immigrant. Do you think their lives have improved by this legal immigrant?

You really need to get out more or read more. You seem to be adding up all the credits and none of the debits. We had a much superior immigrant pool prior to 1965..

The 1965 Immigration Reform Act was the worst thing that ever happened to the United States.

The Somali crowd are coming as refugees ~ that’s a consideration separate and apart from “legal immigration”. Technically we can send refugees BACK, and probably should. We have a similar problem with Salvadorans, Nicaraguans and Guatemalans.

Tyson's Corner is a rather glitzy and expensive shopping center. That's where Washington's INTERNATIONAL SET SHOP.

I suppose you imagine the embassy folks, World Bank people, and military liaison types shopped over in Maryland or something.

No, they don't. Too many dangerous illegals over there.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see women in burqas in Tyson's Corner.

It's safe and shortly will be accessible on Metrorail.

Cho came here when he was 8 with his family. None of the other family members were identified as having the same sort of disorder he had.

I wish we could identify the dangerously mentally ill before they do anything bad, but usually we can't ~ as yet.

Then we could ignore all their civil rights and lock 'em up right away. (Right?)

BTW, I remember when Tyson's corner was a working farm in a rundown part of Fairfax County.

They've ruined it with buildings and stuff.
