A lead detective from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office will continue to work full-time investigating the now yearlong disappearance of Kyron Horman with help from the FBI, state Department of Justice and county prosecutors...
During the investigation of the other potential persons of interest, the team realized that some evidence -- namely phone records and computer log-on information from Skyline School the day Kyron went missing -- were not kept by the school district as the sheriff's office didn't request the preservation of those records.
Staton and Gates said they did obtain other information from the school via a search warrant submitted to Superintendent Carole Smith, but could not comment on the school phone records or computer data being preserved.
There are still "millions of data points" that need to be examined.

"Saturday will mark the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of Kyron Horman, who vanished from a northwest Portland school after an early-morning science fair.
In the past 12 months, despite an exhaustive investigation, Multnomah County detectives have not named a suspect or a person of interest in the boy's disappearance.
But from the beginning, Kyron's stepmother, Terri Horman, has been the focus of suspicion...
No one in the area, it appears, is totally convinced that Terri Horman is to blame for Kyron Horman's disappearance, but they say she has created more questions than answers.
"If Terri is involved in it, I don't have any sympathy for child killers," Manley said. "And if she's innocent, we've sure put her through hell, haven't we?"
IMO, if the Portland law didn't have such a Keystone Cops mentality and if they hadn't had such tunnel vision on the step-mother, little Kyron might have been found. They don't have a shred of evidence that she did it, yet they refused to even look at anyone else. Forgetting about the school's phone records until months later is inexcusable. What else did they forget to investigate? Poor little boy.

One year anniversary to Kyron’s disappearance.
Oregon ping...
A great many sexual predators in Washington State live in state border towns and cities, just so they can cross state lines, offend, and then retreat.
Kyron disappeared from a location with reasonable access to an arterial feed into Interstate 5. In less than 20 minutes Kyron would have been outside of Oregon’s state borders.
I don’t know if this is what happened. But it is a possibility.
That is exactly what Wesley Alan Dodd did. He told the authorities that was how he rolled after he was caught.
There’s a little girl missing from McCleary, a couple of hours North since roughly the same time.
I’m just sick over that dear, sweet child and cannot imagine how his parents are coping....just not knowing must be the same hell he went through - or is still enduring.
I hope this does not turn out to be the perfect crime!
