Meanwhile back on the golf course....

"....A POLITICO analysis of 64 of the 71 rounds Obama has played since taking office shows that his golf circle has actually gotten much tighter over the past 2 1/2 years, narrowing from a group of about two dozen pals, administration officials and Cabinet members to a dozen or so trusted partners.

On most weekends this spring, Obama had the same three golf buddies: White House trip director Marvin Nicholson; former campaign photographer David Katz, whose 1.8 handicap made him No. 9 on Golf Digest’s recent ranking of Washington power brokers and press aide Ben Finkenbinder, who played golf at Minnesota’s Macalester College and ranks No. 32....... No red state is going to get any aid from the Regime if Obama can help it.

He should use, “Vote for me or I’ll let your state bleed” as a campaign slogan.

On what grounds did Obama deny Texas Federal aid? - The rest of the states better stand up for Texas and squawk. The very idea that a President can use the Federal Government to punish the states is outrageous if that’s what he’s doing; but he has got away with too much already. If we complain, we’re just RACIST, don’tcha know?

Fine. We Texans don't give one RATS ASS about Washington or anybody that is employed there.

GET YOUR OIL FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE, AND FREEZE IN THE FRIGGIN DARK FOR ALL WE CARE!

It wasn't the national election but this map why Hussein hates Texas:

Yet, FReepers are complaining that so many Texas towns have banned fireworks on the 4th and are considering banning outdoor grilling on the 4th. No rain in months and most of Texas relies on volunteer firefighters - buy a clue.

I think we Texans all know by now that, in the event of a natural disaster or even a man-made one, Texas and other non-Obama voting/supporting states will be completely on their own.

Supposedly, that federal help is what states should be able to expect from the federal government. Guess not. Too bad our federal taxes are still going to fund Obama’s destruction of America. They could be better spent and used right here in the states we live in.

We need a change. A change away from Obama.

Just to piss everyone a little more, a reminder that Obama, while ignoring Texas disaster request, sent a lot of support to Mexico for their wildfires.

Let the state pay for it. We'll never get out of this mess if money is just a huge pool waiting for any excuse to jump in.

This is so funny. Perry wants to break Texas off with the United States and be their own “country”, but now suddenly being part of the United States is necessary and is begging the federal government for money. Either you want the state to be on it’s own or you don’t. This might be the most funniest thing I have ever seen.

How small of BO to treat Texans so shabbily after Gov. Perry opened rescue shelters all over Houston for the Katrina refugees from New Orleans, many of whom settled in Texas permanently.

Many Texans weren’t that thrilled with the governor’s generosity and the resulting boost in Houston area crime for a time after the storm, but things settled down and we weathered the storm after the storm. The federal government has never repaid that debt of kindness.

Some years ago, a California airship company had a prototype for a firefighting airship. Its big advantages were that it could carry a huge amount of water, compared to an airplane or a helicopter, and that it could maintain a relative position over a fire, so that instead of just dumping all its water at once, it could do the equivalent of “rain” on it, or on land adjacent to it, to prevent its spread.

Also, it could rapidly refill its tank by landing directly on a lake or other open body of water. And full its cruising speed would be between 30-40mph.

While it would not replace firefighting aircraft and helicopters, it would complement them strongly.

It could even descend a directional, wire guided fire hose against hot spots, or use a high volume foam hose.
