Like it or not, the Federal Government is in charge of all border security. Else there would be 50 (or 57) different standards. You all piss and moan about Texas, and accommodate poor national policy. Palin neglected the native Americans in Alaska, and more than 1 was killed. But the FedGov runs Bureau of Indian Affairs. People like you have no idea of a LIMITED government made up of Sovereign States and true Federalism... most did not stand up and fight the Fed as they gobbled up power. Texas is the one State that can actually divide itself and increase its power at the Federal level... you also have the right to leave this Union should you choose to do so. You and your ilk would rather drop trou and let obama have whatever powers that he wishes for, rather than stand up and fight. Most Texans do want to stand up and fight. Not perry... not even a little bit. I was a Texan... guess deep down I still am... I still have a bunch of family there... and they do not like perry either.

I would bet your roots are in Austin... a liberal infected city... yes I lived there in the 70's... it was marxville then and it is marxville on steroids now. At least perry did speak out about Texas leaving the union if their Sovereignty was threatened... but like his liberal protege romney... you can't trust what the man says. "Just words".
