If that is the case Verginius Rufus you have my unreserved apologies, and my post can stand, not as a reply to you, (hey, anyone familiar with the work of Gilbert and Sullivan deserves a respectful tip of the hat, if anything) but as a riposte to those on the thread who are, with little or no basis in fact, attacking a man’s career and reputation.
I didn’t intend to be obscure—I was comparing the character in the Gilbert & Sullivan song to BHO. There are remarkably few similarities between Prince Philip and Obama, other than the most banal ones (they’re both males, speak English, are married, etc.).
