Could be a matter of improper ear config. Suggest large dish-like (0 Ear) presentation, may provide a presidential edge.
Also note, my cat Nacho is to old to fight always fights head first. We counts his losses by the ear notches. Maintains that earmarks may not be an appropriate indicator.
