It won’t, much. Seventeen is the legal age of consent here, even if not where this girl was. And even if that weren’t the case, many of his constituents wouldn’t care because he’s already invoked the magical ‘vast rightwing conspiracy’ as his persecutors, and also many are from countries where 17 is an old maid, basically. Plus he’s already apparently asserted that he’s too important to resign, and a slight majority in at least one poll of his constituents agreed.
I’d say the Democrats would be hard pressed to force a resignation from him, but Monday when Congress is back in should prove informative. It’s a countdown from about now. He’s got to go.
