The old rust belt states have precious few manufacturers now. Rural areas are toast. And run down.
A relative called me this afternoon about this. The question is how to survive what’s coming.
Oil’s locked up
Oil shale.....EPA impact studies....
Coal’s backing away/getting shut down.......
Natural gas is questionable....
In the rust belt states, there isn’t enough wind or solar or biomass. People are going to, well, die, from heat or freezing. Some of these states derive over 90% of their energy from coal. In some areas, it’s the power company that’s the last man standing insofar as business is concerned.
This is an all or nothing issue now. 0bama is simply using people’s food, gas, electric bills and commutes as hostages to his agenda, as surely as he has repeatedly held the lives of our guys hostage in the ME whenever he wants something.
I have a very liberal cousin - wife is a retired teacher and DEA supporter - who won't admit voting for Ø. He hated Bush 43, and once admitted that he would never have a woman or black person for a boss or vote for either.
A coworker still plays golf with him every once in a while and now my cousin cusses Ø on a regular basis. He and his wife are both retired, and living on a fixed income. He is p***ed that the gas prices are so high, since he has to make regular trips N Texas.
I sent the you tube link of Ø saying fuel prices would skyrocket to my coworker to send to him and his wife in an email. He got really ticked after he watched that. Good job vetting by the SRM.
