VANCOUVER, BC. - Despite some awful reports concerning the way Canucks fans were treated in Boston, the die-hard fans are expected to return for game six.
Marie emailed News1130 to say the only place she wasn't harassed while in Boston was inside her hotel room. She says a group of teenage boys were verbally aggressive, and one Bruins fan even tried to shove his fingers in her mouth at TD Garden. (See her email below)
The Green Men expected to be heckled in Boston, but Sully says some Bruins fans took it a bit far. "Game 4 was a little bit more hectic than Game 3. I got a drink spilled on me, I got smacked in the head, and I got kicked."
"The main heckle was the finger thing," he says. "That was a long time ago... even the NHL is getting sick of it. But people kept coming up to us doing the finger thing... [I thought], 'Good one, very funny, come up with some new material.'"
He says people turned more aggressive in Beantown after the Rome hit on Horton.

But...Boston is such a gentle, friendly town to outsiders. I can’t possibly understand this!
(Yes, it’s sarcasm.)

What's the frequency Kenneth?
Hockey fans in Boston come from the other side of the tracks. If you don’t know that then you don’t know hockey.
Normally I pull for the U.S. team, but this year is an exception because I hate Massachusetts.
The Bruins PA announcer has to be the most amateurish in major league sports.
Go Canucks - from a Red Wings fan.
That is awful. No wonder they hide their faces.
That is awful. No wonder they hide their faces.
Liberals in Boston hate hockey.
Hockey in Boston is played on the first two Mondays in February.
“That was a long time ago”. Yeah, like twelve goals!
Oh boo-frickin’-hoo. The Canucks play dirty and their fans just eat it up. Go Bruins!!!!
Beanpot?
I’m actually pulling for the Bruins, because I like the franchise. Orr, Neely, Bourque, a lot of history there. And I dig Tim Thomas.
Besides, is Vancouver really part of Canada anyway? Isn’t Vancouver just Seattle in metric with even higher taxes?

Canucks fans face abuse while visiting Boston yet another sign of a decaying civilization. Its not confined to Boston (or LA, with the beating of the Giants fan), its everywhere. People with little else to do and so they become enraged, all in so-called support of an athletic team. Civility, politeness, courtesy, good manners, respect, consideration sometimes it’s hard to find.
Oh yes.
there are always these kind of people, no matter what. the whole fan base shouldn’t be judged on these clowns. just like the definition of “sportsmanship” in the NHL shouldn’t be based on finger biting and blind hits.
It’s hockey, and it’s the Stanley Cup. Though, really, the nastiness should be kept on the ice.
Haha! Good one!
But hey, if you want to root for a team that plays the Montreal Canadiens' style of hockey (diving, embellishing, ticky-tack plays after the whistle, backing down from fights when challenged a la Lapierre, etc.), go right ahead. Doesn't say much about you as a hockey fan, though.
What’s her whiny little problem? You visit another city in a major sports Finals’ and it is automatically a hostile city. This idiot thought Boston fans were all hopeychangey, unicorn and rainbows. It’s like a Red Sox fan going to Yankees Stadium..you’d think NY fans will be all ‘nice”? LOL
She’s living in another dopey world.
