The ast Bill I heard of him signing was done by “auto pen” while he was in Europe — a queestionable arrangement, as far as I’m concerned.
The Ruby Ridge ID and Waco TX massacres carried out by the BATFE, FBI and the Delta Force Army unit thus murdering men, women and childern was just swept away by the US government. There was much evidence that proved the US government, under presidents GH Bush, and B. Clinton, out-right murdered civilians and the facts of that were mostly covered up by said government. Questions were tailored and witnesses were lead which aided the government in keeping the murderous facts of both events ambiguous. There were no prosicutions of any officials involved in the events or of those officials who, in the end, ordered those grusom actions against civilians. Issa’s Gun Walker inquirey I suspect will end up being nothing more than a diversion and more coverup to pretect the illeagal activities of US government.
Two problems with that statement. First, the US has no authority to go in and arrest the people in Mexico. And Second, the Mexican government wasn't aware of it at all.
I was listening to HH on the way home a couple of days ago, and when the topic of Guerena came up, he very proudly said that any time it came to choosing between someone being served a warrant and the police, he'd choose "those men and women who are out there every day risking their lives to protect us." He didn't discuss it beyond that, just moved to the next topic.
HH is, indeed, a very informative guy, and I really like him most of the time. But sometimes he makes me nuts, like in this instance, with his reflexive worshipping of the authorities. He doesn't understand that sometimes they make mistakes, and in some cases they are actually on a power-trip. For him, all police are good - and that's no more true than that all people are good.
I have given that particular scenario some thought, and since my wife and I don't commit crimes, I have determined that anyone trying to come into my house without an invitation is a home invader, regardless of what clothes they are wearing and what authority they claim. It is well known that many home invaders will dress and act as police to get the homeowner to open the door - but I will not do so.
As to the Gunrunner scandal, it is as plain as day that the higher-ups in the DoJ decided to load up a bunch of Mexican drug cartels with American guns - and quite deliberately did it without the consent or even knowledge of Mexican authorities - for the sole purpose of backing up a policy of placing yet more "reasonable" restrictions on American gun owners because "American guns are feeding the drug gangs." This is an old government game - create the problem and, magically, have the solution ready at hand...a solution that degrades or eliminates liberty, quite naturally. I hope that Holder is hung by his b@lls for this one.
I agree Hewitt is a smart guy, but he never met a RINO he didn't swoon over. He lost me a few years ago. Like some on this board he is at heart an authoritarian. His default is towards greater state power and diminished personal freedom, so long as the "right" people wield it.

No. Only the courts and governmental administration of the law is finished, rendered null and void, moot by its own discgraceful failure.
The law itself then remains, to be administered by the of the United States, the rightful guardians of the law and Constitution.
