FreedomWorks: Tea Party may stay home if Romney nominated

If Mitt Romney wins the Republican nomination for president, Tea Party activists may not show up at all to vote in the general election, one leading group associated with the Tea Party movement is warning.

“I think that’s a potential problem,” said Matt Kibbe, FreedomWorks’ president, during a wide-ranging interview with reporters at The Daily Caller.

He also warned that if Republicans nominate another “John McCain,” activists might even vote third party in 2012. “I believe in redemption, but at some point, you sort of give up,” he said. “And we’ve given up on Mitt Romney.”

I expect there will be a real crowd of Democrats voting in the later Republican Primaries.0 next year. They gave us McCain last time and they will give us Romney this time.

Sounds like warmed up Perot supporters. Look what that gave us. There will never be a chance for a third party candidate at the national level. Stand on your principals and see how you can help destroy what is left of the United States. Yeah! Don’t vote! , Just go ahead and slit your wrists now to avoid the rush after your lack of civic responsiblity re-elects Obamination.

I will not stay home, but I will simply not vote for Romney, no matter what. That’s just how it is for me now. The republican party can nominate Romney at their own peril.

No one wants Romney, of course. But I don’t want Obama a he!! of a lot more than I don’t want Romney. America cannot survive 4 more years of this monster. It would be a shame if the “stay at home Tea Partiers” caused this to happen.

So if Palin can only get 35% of the popular vote in a nationwide election should Palin still run? No poll shows her with a prayer of winning a presidential election at this point. “Our way or the highway” will lose this next election. We(the Tea Party activists)ARE NOT the majority. So if Obama is to be defeated this time around then we have to compromise. Mitt Romney, at this point in time, attracts voters who voted for Obama in ‘08 in sufficient numbers to win the ‘12 election. If some other candidate who is more conservative can capture that same bloc of voters I will be most happy to support that candidate. Right now there aint one! Not Herman Cain, not Sarah Palin, not Michelle Bachmann. As much as I like those candidates they have not shown the ability to attract the support we need from Independents. We cannot win without Independents unless we mobilize 10s of millions of first time voters. About 20% of the nation’s voting age population would have to be converted into hard core conservative voters and that aint going to happen between now and Nov ‘12. We are going to have to sneak up on this country and impose our vision stealthly on those too ignorant to see what is happening to their freedom or too lazy to do anything about it. If we loudly telecast our true intentions, as the above mentioned candidates have already done, then those ignorant and lazy people will run into the arms of the Dems. Happens every time! Just take a look at what happened over the Ryan plan.

Quote from NRO interview with Stephen K. Bannon, director and producer of “The Undefeated”.

BANNON: Besides the fact that the Tea Party saved the country from an overreaching progressive movement that had taken over all three branches of government, nothing’s that special.

If it weren’t for the Tea Party, the Republican party would be even more irrelevant than it currently is. The Tea Party absolutely stopped the Obama administration in its tracks in November 2010 with very little help from the Republican-party establishment.

The Republican party should be on bended knee every night thanking God that the little relevancy it has is because of the muscle and energy of the Tea Party movement.

So, you just don’t want the GOP to have to take their part of the blame when US collapse occurs?

I despise Mitt. His stances on Romneycare and global warming dismay me. But if a syphilitic camel were running against The One I would vote for the camel. I won't stay home next year regardless of the Republican nominee.

(Of course, this is an excellent reason to play for keeps during the primary season, and I ain't playing on Mitt's team.)
