Perry has flaws, and his endorsing Rudy was an absurd thing for a Texas governor to do. Nevertheless, he is something of a conservative with some RINO tendencies. Currently, Perry is trending strongly to the right. He isn’t my first, second, or third choice, but he is better than Romney, Gingrich, and Pawlenty.

That won’t matter to some organizations like the source for this story. They’ll see he’s pro life and just ignore everything else - which is why a lot of life oriented folks like Huck and like GWB and a lot of other assorted non conservatives.

(and I’m pro life, but I look at how a man/woman will govern, not just one issue).
