The problem is not the Weiner texts or photos anymore. The problem for Weiner is how easily he went before the public and lied about what happened. And, Weiner didn't just lie, he knowingly falsely accused someone else of doing it, he called a reporter a jackass for pursuing it, and he came very close to causing a false police investigation from beginning.

A politician's currency is trust -- his constituents's trust in him as their representative, and his fellow representative's trust in his word when making deals and compromises. He squandered his trust and has none left to trade with. A caller to Limbaugh said yesterday that she doesn't want a deviant like Weiner making laws that the rest of us have to abide by. I agree with her.
