When I come on Free Republic and see mob mentality, I am going to point it out.
When out of 15 or so articles, 10 are on this miniscule subject, when we are in illegal wars, have people stealing billions from bailouts, an administration that is killing the economy and a leader who refuses to answer legitimate questions, the emphasis is misplaced. Get it?
Then you will be called out as a Control-Freak who can't let things unwind without your precious input. You don't control anything. You don't barely control anything in your own life, if you look closely enough. You certainly don't get to dictate to others what is important to talk about on web forums.
I predict you will be roundly ridiculed for your attempts to impose your will on other posters. It is probably a lot wiser to let the issue die on it's own.
You don't own us. Get it?

The reason why our country is so screwed up, is because of these jerks that get elected to Congress.
Weiner is one of the top jerks.
Weiner supports the Obama agenda. He is the Democrat who always puts his skinny face in front of the cameras spouting liberal causes.
I am tired of him, and want him taken out.
The only way he gets taken out is by continually shining a light on the scandal.
If the internet was active when Barney Frank has his little prostitution scandal, he probably would not be in office today. The MSM protected him.
We all know what Barney Frank did in Congress to start this recession. Our country may have been in better shape if his scandal made him resign years ago.

In the 60s, there was a TV show titled, “The Naked City”. It was a cop show set in New York city. At the end of the episode, the announcer would say, “There are 8 million stories in the Naked City, this is but one of them”.
There are 535 Congressmen. 100 Senators. A “president”. We are not an the end of the story here and one of them, the Weiner story, has not yet been fully told. We see a liar, an adulterer in intent if not in fact, a cheater, a selfish, petty, vindictive, angry, ego-maniacal and ethically challenged man. We have a man who favors killing the unborn, legalizing immoral activities, a man who votes against this nation on several issues, who votes yes on bailouts and no on legislation that would help the economy. Weiner’s story, individually, is not a miniscule subject, as you say, but it is yet one more sickening chapter of failure; a failure of one in the “Naked City” of Congress, of a nation. Is it mob mentality to stop and to look at this train-wreck named Weiner? There is a lot to learn from this fiasco.
