To: RC one

I read that over and over, and I’m not sure, since it was a fast-paced interview and the question wasn’t precise.

He might have meant that states organize how guns are registered, etc. States do control rules about open vs. closed carry, etc.

I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until he clarifies the statement.

There are different gun laws in different states. The 2nd amendment is absolute but the states have their own ways of dealing with it.

The supreme court invariably sends the issue back to the states.

I agree. I certainly think that states have the right to keep weapons from the insane, and children should not be allowed to buy guns, either. I know Cain is a staunch 2nd Amendment supporter. I want to hear what else he says on the subject.
