If she were lucky - lucky they didn't shoot her on sight.
Now that the gov’t has taken over all student loans, it's now been classified, instead of a ‘default” - embezzlement and/or fraud and is listed in with everything else - under Homeland Security.
It's time to reevaluate how you get your/your children's education. Student loans payments kick in upon graduation, but you may not find a job for some time - or you may do fine for a few years, then have a loss of job or an illness and miss some payments - the gov’t doesn't care - you are a criminal.
There are now ways to get an education/profession and have no loans. Indeed, to be making a living WHILE getting your education. You may miss ‘the college experience” - i.e., partying. boozing, spring breaks...but you will LIVE FREE.
