A Steel Valley School District teacher turned herself in Tuesday on allegations that she "sexted"students by exchanging sexual text messages and nude photos via cellphone.
According to the criminal court docket, Jennifer Sowa Smith was arraigned at District Judge Thomas Torkowsky's office on several charges, including two felony counts each of unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors, another felony count of criminal use of a communication facility and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of children. Bail was set at $25,000.

There is another school around here where a teacher had an affair with one of her students who impregnated her. She left her husband and as soon as the kid turned 18 she moved in with him. Never made any sort of headlines.

I suspect I’m a bit older and was not aware of any instances. Among faculty, possibly. But not with students.
Guilty - and additional charges should be considered for intentional infliction of emotional distress.

I'm sure you went to the right schools. Proof is that you're not psychologically messed up. Many boys who get sexually involved with one of their female teachers start to suffer from psychological problems afterward.
Yep, definitely a good role model. Pittsburgh’s WDVE’s old morning show (Paulsen and Krenn) had a parody of Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin’” called “340”. She fits the bill.
