GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain will headline a Wednesday rally in downtown New York to protest a regional global warming compact.
Cain joins the Koch-affiliated Americans for Prosperity's rally, which is scheduled for noon and is expected to draw a couple of hundred tea party supporters who want to put an end to the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
AFP last month notched a big win when it got New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to drop out of the 10-state cap-and-trade program for power plants. Now, AFP is looking for more states to take Christie's lead.
Mike Proto, the group's spokesman, said Cain is the only GOP White House contender to accept a request to speak at the rally, which coincides with one of RGGIs emission allowance auctions. "Invitations are extended to all the presidential candidates," he said.
Conservative talk radio host Steve Malzberg is also expected to speak at the rally.
Raise Some CAIN!!!!!!!
YES!!!!
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)
LonePalm, le Républicain du verre cassé (The Broken Glass Republican)
This guy, Herman Cain, has more common sense, more business sense, more practical sense, than most life long politicians.
Cain has a bachelors in mathematics and a masters in computer science.
Yes but he didn’t know right of return! /sar
He’ll probably be demonstrating opposite Mitt Romney!
IMHO
Great, Herman will be on the right side of the issue + getting some face time.
I like this slogan for Herman:
“Let’s do it RIGHT this time!”
Works on several levels. >> As in: Don’t screw up the 2012 election. > Vote based on Conservative principles. > Elect the right black man this time.
Whoooopin' it up over the silly "climate change" issue does little if any good on the primary issue of this upcoming campaign...JOBS.
Empty slogans and epithets such as "I'll lower the corporate tax rate", and "I'll make the Bush Tax Cuts permanent", and "Let's bring manufacturing back to the US!" and other such rhetorical gems mean absolutely nothing. They are not policy....they are cheerleading.
And after the stain's silly mantra of "hopey-changey", I've had a belly full of cheerleading.
Without real, earned wage, non-union jobs; the economy will fail.
Please don't continue to screech your "promises" at us. Stop telling us all about what you're going to do.
Instead....try this: TELL US SPECIFICALLY HOW YOU INTEND TO ACCOMPLISH YOUR OBJECTIVE(S).
It just might work....but until then, you're nothing more than hot air.
Hmm. Why the preface "Koch-affiliated"? Do they preface groups that are funded by George Soros as "Soros-affiliated"?
“Cain has a bachelors in mathematics and a masters in computer science.”
Yeah, but did he go to Hahhhvaaaad?
I think it’s the first the first step in a larger plan to portray Cain as a puppet of the right—an Uncle Tom that has turned his back on his race.
Remember, the Koch’s are “evil” as far as the left is concerned, becuase they support conservative causes. They’ve been working on demonizing them for a while, so in their mind associating anyone with the Koch’s is a smear.
I’ve noticed a flurry of news stories starting this week that mention both Cain and the Kotch brothers. It’s obviously a coordinated effort (JournOlist-2 must be up and running).
Cain has issued a position paper on exactly the steps he’d take to create jobs and turn the economy around.
It’s out there, if you’d take the time to look for it.
Or you can continue to be uninformed, make uninformed statements, and wait for someone else to spoon feed you the information.
The choice is yours. What are you going to do?
I -must- look at this candidate more closely.
Cain/Palin
mmm mmm mmm
Cain heavily supports the policy that has the best chance of not only restoring our economy, but would quickly expand it, making us once again the economic colossus we once were.
It's the Fair Tax, and none of the other candidates and wannabes even have the balls to utter the words.
