'..can’t we give Perry a chance'

We'd better start giving someone a chance and get solidly behind him!

Tearing apart our prospective candidates is only helping out the libs.

If you don't like a Republican candidate, then STFU.

The Libs don't need our help in that department.

“We’d better start giving someone a chance and get solidly behind him!”

I totally agree there. I hear so many people say, “The more, the merrier!” in the primaries. That is only splitting the vote and causing more and more division.

If we could unite behind someone like Perry and have a united front, we would have a better chance at unseating Obama.

Gov. Perry has the ability to unite the Tea Party, the evangelical wing and, I believe, has the ability to attract the support of the establishment GOP.

As much as we can’t stand the establishment GOP, I read an article recently that made the point that said that having the Tea Party and the evangelical wing is great, but we need to get the establishment GOP on board with us and have a united coalition.

I think it kind of resembles how Benjamin Netanyahu became the Prime Minister of Israel. His very conservative party (Likud) was able to form a coalition with other conservative parties and even some not-as-conservative parties to win a majority over Tzipi Livni’s Kadima Party, even though Kadima originally won the most seats.

I know we don’t operate in a parliamentary system, but my point is that we need to get a coalition together with other Republicans, even though we won’t agree on every single issue and that is fine.
