The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced on Tuesday that it plans to ban the sale of the most toxic rat and mouse poisons, as well as most loose bait and pellet products to residential customers. The goal is to better protect children, pets and wildlife. These changes are essential to reduce the thousands of accidental exposures of children that occur every year from rat and mouse control products and also to protect household pets, said Steve Owens, assistant administrator for EPAs Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention. The EPA also will require that all rat and mouse poisons

U.S. Constitution
Article I
Section 1.
All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
Exposures which were likely way below the level required to cause permanent harm to humans. Kid grubs into some pellets then licks his fingers kind of exposures. I don’t know if there is a way to make rat poison taste lousy to humans but wonderful to rats, because their taste buds are similar.
I suppose the idiots in the EPA have never heard of: Unintended Consequences!
Let’s see.... The companies who produce the vermin poisons for consumers to use will lose sales, shut down production and distribution lines and lay off workers. ....Mice and rat populations will grow unchecked and endanger humans and pets.
Is this another Obama Regime handout to UNION controlled exterminators, designed to force homeowners and landlords to pay a lot more for the services to support the high wages and benefits enjoyed by the Union workers???
They better not mess with my Sluggo.
Those will be GM battery powered flatbeds to haul the corpses. They won’t need antifreeze but maybe an extension to put up a GE solar panel.
Actually, as far as they're concerned, you're the main target.
That looks so cruel. Me likes it.
I prefer the electronic traps. Nimh gets the mice and brings them to me. And they aren’t always dead. At 2am I find it’s just not funny when he “gifts” Mommy and has to chase it on the bed. :-D
There’s a debate about whether Congress can delegate authority to a bureaucracy, as it has done here. Congress has the right to yank that authority away or banish the bureaucracy.
reminds me of a “Polish Mouse Trap” Which uses PVC pipe to lure them into the bucket then they can’t get out and the shrieking of t5he moue draws more in...
Is there a “piranha option” available for that trap? I wouldn’t want the mouse to suffer too long.
Exactly - I hardly see them as having any authority here.
Call me old-fashioned, but we still utilize the old Victor brand guillotine-style break the neck trap.
I did. See Post 49. :-)
I wonder how many jobs THIS will kill?
“Stock up now folks.”
I’m gonna have to add on. The basement’s already full of light bulbs.
They’re gonna kill off all of us non-global warming believer PIA capitalists....
And people laughed when I told them Obama would turn the US into the UK.
With my kids, you could cover them with a paste of brussel sprouts or lima beans.
