One less vote for our deposed Queen Pelosi (Boren voted for Shuler last time but that was "catch and release" like all the others). I relish the replacement of these so called "blue dogs".
Excellent news.
Should be a fairly easy pickup over the blast from the past Brad Carson, even if they don't beef up the district (which they should). Ours to lose.

If Mike Monroney switched parties, that’s news to me. He was a Democrat for the entirety of his 30-year career in the House and Senate, clear up until his defeat in 1968 by Henry Bellmon. Wes Watkins switched parties, as did John Jarman. Perhaps you’re mistaking the latter ones for Monroney ?

"Interesting that Boren wants to call it quits. However, the fact that he has young children may be a factor."

More likely that he has the same "problem" that his dad did.

Methinks Boren sees a disaster for the Rats next year and wants out, while trying to save face.

Yes I was confused with John Jarman.
