Rep. Anthony Weiner’s “Weinergate” scandal continues to present us with new bits of information, even after the Congressman held a rather lengthy press conference yesterday afternoon admitting guilt and expressing regret. Yesterday, Weiner shared that he had sent various flirtatious and/or revealing pictures and messages to six women over the course of three years, some while he was married. He insisted that he did not use government resources nor his time at work to send these.
Now, TMZ has revealed that Weiner advised one of those women to lie about the nature of their online interactions. Weiner also offered the woman, former porn star Ginger Lee, help from his own PR team – a move which may land him in even deeper trouble.
This is what Weiner emailed Ginger Lee on June Ist:
The key is to have a short, thought out statement that tackles the top line questions and then refer people back to it. Have a couple of iterations of: “This is silly. Like so many others, I follow Rep. Weiner on Twitter. I don’t know him and have never met him. He briefly followed me and sent me a dm saying thank you for the follow. That’s it.”
And on June 2nd, he wrote:
Do you need to talk to a professional PR type person to give u advice? I can have someone on my team call. [Yeah, my team is doing great. Ugh].
In addition, he presented yet another possible statement for Ginger Lee to reiterate to the press:
“I have nothing to do with the situation involving Rep Weiner. I follow his twitter feed. And for a brief time he followed me. Much has been made of the fact that I have posted about my admiration for Rep Weiner and his politics. All I can say about that is that I’m a fan of his. Rep. Weiner sent me one short direct message thanking me for following him. I have never met Rep. Weiner and he has never sent me anything innappopriate (sic) …”...

What a tangled Weiner we weave.
Once again we learn that the cover-up, rather than the inital offense, is often what gets these politicos in bigger trouble.
When caught, lie, have others lie (in court if nesessary), deny, and project. It is a pattern....but he’s just a flawed little monkey, so we’re all asked to look the other way and protect his phony-baloney job.
He is the perfect person to go to for advice on lying. This past week shows how effortlessly he can lie and get media minions to swear to it for him. If I were Andrew Breitbart I would have held on to the pics for a few more days until Weiner really got himself and the public believing the scandal was over then nailed him.
After yesterday’s grilling, and now this, I think this hot dog’s a cooked weiner
Many have said his life in congress is up to the voters in his district. This may be true, but he doesn’t sit in a vacuum in congress. he sits on comittees which vote on issues affecting all americans.
If his judgement in his private life is so poor how can his judgement in public life be better?
This man needs to go away.
Where is Obama in this scandal?
Is he going to invite Weiner to the White House for a beer? Will he say Weiner acted stupidly like he said of the cops in the case of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates ?
It’s a veiled threat: Cooperate in the cover-up or else!
Sexual harassment...definitely! Using the power of the office of a Congressman to come down on unsuspecting young women.
Weinergate is inflating and expanding as we write.
And above all accuse your opponents of lying.

BJ Clinton actually did the deed with a barely legal age govt employee in the Oral Office and lied about it resulting in a multimillion dollar govt investigation. He’s considered a “rock star” by Democrats.
Why would they think Weenie’s behavior is problematic?

But Ginger Lee in a Google image search sure has taught me a lot.
The difference is Hillary Clinton. She barely suffered through that with her husband, she is not going to suffer it again with an aide’s husband. I can see the lamps flying through the air as I type this.
Who would connect a Weiner with a porn star?
The way people subliminally think is that if Antony can pull this off he is an effective, get-the-job-done kind of guy, and that deserves some support. Anthony knows how people think and that is why he isn`t resigning. Clinton too knew this.
