They had names like Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd, Bonnie and Clyde, and John Dillinger. They shot up banks, and since the banks had been foreclosing on peoples homes, they were treated has heroes.

What made many of these people heroes is that they would often steal the mortgage paper and then take them out and burn them.
