That and there are 20 million illegals undercutting the competition...and their not just in the lawn biz anymore.
Anyone in the private sector knows there has been no real improvement in either the economy or the job market since 2008. The monthly government statistics are a fantasy designed for media propaganda and in no way represent the true state of the economy. We are in an economic depression. The GOP should start calling it what it is everyday in the same way James Carville and Bill Clinton pounded George H. W. Bush on the terrible state of a much better economy in 1992.
Unfortunately it is too much to expect the GOP to formulate a message and keep repeating it even when it is handed to them.
“Employers spooked by a sputtering economy ...”
Bull. Try “employers, tired of the Federal burden of hyper-regulation and hyper-taxation”...and the most accurate picture begins to appear.
The WSJ is merely assisting the FEDS in trying obfuscate the reasons for no jobs....its obviously a “sputtering economy”...not that the Fed Gov’mt might in any way , shape of form be at the root cause of it.
It was a shame when TX outlawed driving your pickup while tossing empties into the bed through the sliding rear cab window.
Oil future’s still over $100, and the dollar hasn’t budged. ;-)
Union labor contributed to that. Union labor is overpriced and less productive then advertised. The trend though is jobs are being added outside our country so the magnet drawing the illegals is diminishing.
How many illegals would be a at job fair for Taco Bell? n/s
Questions for all:
How does one go about getting the CBO to crunch numbers on anything? Can a single congressperson hook it up?
I’d like an elected official to ask the CBO to use the current unemployment calculations to re-figure the unemployment rate for every Republican administration since Reagan first took office, then use those numbers as an apples-to-apples comparison with Zerobama’s numbers.
Everyday is a “job fair” for illegals at the entrance of Home Depot.
I used to do that!
