Potential Republican presidential contender Sarah Palin said today that it's "noble" of President Obama to continue leading a sputtering economy, but Americans want to take a different path.
Last week, the Labor Department announced that the unemployment rate hit 9.1 percent in May, and just 54,000 jobs were created last month -- far fewer than expected. In response, Mr. Obama said the economy "is taking a while to mend" and faces "bumps on the road to recovery."
On "Fox News Sunday," Palin took issue with that analogy. "The people will tell you it's not a bump in the road," she said. "We've hit a brick wall."
"It's very noble of President Obama to want to stay at the helm and maybe go down with this sinking ship," she continued. "But I prefer, many Americans prefer, that we start plugging the hole, that we start powering the build pump and start getting rid of this unsustainable debt that is sinking our ship. We don't have to go the way of the Titanic, and there are things that have to be put in place right now before this ship does sink."

Last week, former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean warned that Palin could beat Mr. Obama in the 2012 elections if the economy doesn't improve.
"I think she could win," Dean told The Hill Friday. "Any time you have a contest -- particularly when unemployment is as high as it is -- nobody gets a walkover."

Stupid reporters, and editor, if they have one, has probably never heard of a bilge pump and his ears interpreted as build. The journalists they have today are woefully uneducated and highly stupid.
I just assumed that the "professional" reporter couldn't spell "bilge."
Close enough.
Go, Sarah, GO!!
Run, Sarah, RUN!
Drill, baby, DRILL!!! :-)
Run, Sarah, RUN!
Drill, baby, DRILL!!! :-)
Obama definitely needs to go with the “bilge.”
My informal polling indicates that among Republicans, support for Sarah Palin is precisely inverse to enthusiasm for Mitt Romney.
Ouch....Ever have a women poke you in the side with a long sharp fingernail and then twist it?
There is absolutely nothing about Sarah Palin that differs from freedom. Ask that question about any candidate before you support them.
You are right, and that includes the fools in the GOP!
Look for the surely-coming lashing-out angry response from Obama due to her one-shot center-mass direct hit.
I agree. But bilge water is what the LSM generates a lot of.
I love Sarah, I just wish the rat basterd socialist light GOP party establishment would agree and come out of their limos to find out what the real world is like they have no clue and are barely better than the democrat rat basterds IMO
Obama could actually win a second term because the GOP idiots will run some socialist loser like Romney and the party will be all split desperatly voting for losertarian kooks like Ron Paul
That is exactly what she said. Bilge pump.
These idiots at cBS got it wrong, but the readers will think she said "build pump", which makes her look like a dope.
But first we have to tie the anchor around his neck.
She definitely meant,,,and said (in an innocuous, mildy tounge-twisted formation.). *She* clearly knows what a bilge pump is--being around them on a daily basis in her upbringing. And actually, many Americans know plenty about bilge pumps from an early age, if ever having spent any time on any pleasure or sporting boat. For me, bilge pumps...and pushing the buttom or flipping the switch to turn them on, upon uncovering and firing-up a boat, meant big fun and helpful responsibilty for a lil kid. It was one of my many "critical" "jobs.". ;-)
It's See BS that doesn't know how to bait a hook...or flip a bilge pump switch--and is reflective in their daily delivery of fetid *overflowing* and self *ship-sinking* "bilge."
