I’ve asked this on other threads, but what is wrong with Flynt, physically, that makes him talk the way he does? The long term drug use? He needs subtitles to understand what he’s saying. It’s all mush-mouthed sentences beginning with daaahh... and gaaahh...
I think - if I remember correctly - he was shot in the pants by some disgruntled ex-girlfriend or employee. So he’s paralyzed from...um...the waist down. Why that would make him sound like Foster Brooks on a bender, I don’t know.
According to some Googling, his injuries in the shooting included not only paralysis from the waist down but also the speech impediment. I know, I know: I don’t get it either. How could a spinal injury that far south affect the much-higher-up bits that control speech?
