OKLAHOMA CITY (Reuters) - A loud noise coming from an unattended box that turned out to be Christmas music prompted a security alert at the Oklahoma City airport on Friday that closed most of the facility for four hours, officials said.
An unidentified caller notified the airport of noises coming from a box in the baggage claim area about 9:30 a.m. local time and the police bomb squad was summoned, airport spokeswoman Karen Carney said.

I can see where loud Christmas music coming from a box at the airport in June, might be a bit creepy .
O Time bomb,
O Time bomb...
You better not shout
you better not cry
This reminds me of that “OH NO IT’S THE CHRISTIANS!” scene from An American Carol.
Potential bomb = Christmas.
Any other time = How dare you mention the word Christmas!
Oh my. I live in OKC. Once the airlines started flying again after 9/11, I booked a flight to San Antonio. I was sitting at the gate when my name was called over the loudspeaker. I went to the desk, identified myself and two large and very serious looking guys (very serious) stepped up to me and said, in no uncertain terms, “Please come with us, sir.”
Seemed odd, but I was not about to argue with them. My response of, “OK, what’s up?”, was met with stony silence. They escorted me down into the byzantine bowels of Will Rogers International to my bag, which was sitting apart from all the other bags and making a very strange whirring noise.
I immediately laughed out loud. They asked me if I could explain that noise. In fact, I could and started to open the bag. They stepped between me and the bag at which point I told them it was only a vacuum cleaner. Small. Battery powered. And it apparently had switched on as the bag was jostled in handling.
They never smiled. Can’t say that I blame them. But at least we didn’t shut down the airport for 4 hours. A couple of days after that, a passenger train from Baltimore to DC was stopped and all the passengers evacuated because of a similar noise from what turned out to be a kid’s toy in a bag in the luggage rack.
Can’t be too careful.
At least it wasn’t an adult toy...
Muslim call to prayer would have been fine.
You beat me to it. I was shocked, just shocked, that the MSM would openly talk about “Christmas” music in any context. I figured that the “style book” of news article writing would force them to speak of a generic “holiday” without specifying which holiday, as is common in the MSM during December. After all, there are so many holidays during that time of year, and we have to be all-inclusive, make sure nobody feels left out, and celebrate diversity.
LOL.
