Sounds alot like freaknik in Atlanta used to be.

Having lived through both Freaknik and Urban Beach Week, I can tell you that it is not the out of town visitors that are the issue. It is the local thuggery. The out of towners come into Miami with a little pocket cash to spend at the clubs, etc. but the locals are broke as a joke and are left out of the equation with nothing to do but loiter, trying to sell dope or mug the weakest of the crowd. If the police took a zero tolerance approach and locked up anybody guilty of anything beyond jaywalking, the whole weekend would be better off for it. You know it's bad when the “black” leaders start calling out and condemning the “ghetto” crowd for acting like animals and convicts.

(We need more leaders running the country and fewer politicians ruining the country.)

Yes, it does. I lived in Atlanta when Freaknik was still happening there. Talk about a mess.
