Has not the Department of Homeland Security told Arizona (and South Carolina) that they will shut down the E-Verify system? Presumably, Alabama's immigration laws will also be hamstrung.

Will the administration fight this? Of course they will, but does that mean we should not take a stand for what's right for this country? By passing these laws now and by keeping our eye on the sparrow for 2012 to send another wave of bold conservative candidates to congress, we will be in a much stronger position even if Obama gets re-elected. By passing these laws now Alabama has marked their territory. Some illegals will leave just because of the bills passage and for each one that leaves a potential job position is freed up for legal residents. This is going to be an extremely hard fight but this is a step toward fairness to the American people.

I hope I gave no indication that I supported throwing up our hands and giving up.

Certainly, we need to keep the pressure on. Through he courts. Through the states. Through the ballot box. And through are own media.
