I swore an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic several times in my life, i.e., service as a naval officer for 8 years including a year in Vietnam which included the Tet offensive and another 8 months off the coast and 28 years as a Foreign Service Officer including postings in Iran during the downfall of the Shah and the rise of Khomeini, in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War, and in Poland during martial law. I have literally put my life on the line for this country and you are telling me to go back where I belong? How dare you.
