North Korea vows military retaliation after South troops used Kim photos as firing targets
North Korea vows military action against South
By FOSTER KLUG | Associated Press | 46 minutes ago in World
North Korea vowed Friday to launch "retaliatory military actions" against South Korea, a threat that came days after Seoul said its military had used photos of Pyongyang's ruling family for target practice.
The North's fiery statement is part of a barrage of harsh rhetoric this week aimed at the conservative government of South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, who took office in 2008 with a harder line than his liberal predecessors.
Pyongyang sees "no need to sit face to face with the Lee group of traitors" and believes the only way to settle differences with Seoul is "by force of arms," the statement by an unidentified spokesman for the general staff of the North's Korean People's Army said.
"From now on," the statement said, the North "will launch practical and overall retaliatory military actions to wipe out the group of traitors at a stroke."

Time to make an American video of NorK Messiah targets being shot, post it to GoogTube, and email the link to the NorK government.
National Georgraphic did a documentary on North Korea. Quite interesting and eye opening.

What is it about glorious supreme leaders they always seem to lack a sense of humor? Sure the misfortune and suffering of others might of given Stalin a chuckle or two but none of these guys could take a joke at their expense.

The ROKs are using photos of the NK regime for target practice, but the NK regime is using ROK fishing villages and ROKN ships for target practice
what’s wrong with this picture?

North Korean special forces, in training, actually live- bayonet political prisoners (Christians, enemies of the state, fallen comrades and their families) to toughen up the NK commandoes. They have NO RIGHT to piss or moan about this!! How about them having tank exercises at the beginning of the year, with the terrain mapped out with names like "Seoul" and "Pusan", with actual photographs of Kim Jong il with field glasses smiling and looking on in approval.
Freaking hypocrites. His palaces should be neutron bombed.

Figuratively speaking, Chia Head is having bad case of PMS now. He got a boot from Chicom. He dissed them by canceling groundbreaking ceremony for two China-sponsored special economic zones. Then he lashed out SK by first terminating hotline on the eastern front, which turned out to have broken down for some time anyway. Next they laid bare some gory details of back-channel talks with SK on possible summit. Basically the talk crashed because SK insisted on NK's apology for Cheonan's sinking and Yeonpyong shelling. While this talks were in progress, SK delegates felt bad about suddenly changing the venue due to their schedule problem, and gave $10K to reimburse whatever extra cost 5-men NK delegation incurred. They now point it as a conspiracy to bribe delegates. Finally, they seized on this episode of using Kim duo for target practice.
At the moment, I think SK, US, and China worked out some framework and stick to it. Reasons for this may differ among different countries, but they all figured that they should not let puny Chia Head drag them around, playing one against another.
So Chinese are not biting, nor are S. Koreans or Americans. They may give some "perishable" food to keep them from starving to death, but not ones which can be stored for a long time(such as rice,) to stop them from being diverted as military reserve stock.
Both China and U.S. says to NK that it should talk to SK, and get the ball going. Only then they will talk to NK and want some tangible change in nuke and economic situation. Until then, no handouts.
Now Chia Head is trying to lash out, especially to Chinese, by actively destroying any possibility of dealings with S. Korea. So it appears that he is dissing China using S. Korea. China is said to have asked NK that it should improve relation with SK.
However, if NK does another provocation on the order of Cheonan or Yeonpyong incident, it will invite USN carrier battle group deep inside Yellow Sea again(due to the very high possibility of full SK retaliation this time,) and China will be very displeased. Chia Head and his generals may feel that this would get them somewhere, hoping that this would let others resume appeasement. However, it is more likely that it will box them further into a corner.

Correct me if I am wrong, but did not one of the North Korean Olympic medalist in shooting many years ago said something like “I pretended that the target was an American”.

Right. Lee Ho-jun of N. Korea made such a comment after winning gold medal in 50m rifle prone event at Munich Olympics in 1972.
