Prayers for a deeply misguided soul.

“By what authority do you speak for God, about His alleged failings?”

THAT, my friend is NONE of YOUR business!

I’m not your friend, and you’re not my God. Please take your blasphemy elsewhere.

Most of Kervorkian’s victims were NOT terminal.

I better not catch you in a dark alley somewhere...

Come and get me, you blasphemous coward. You bet I'm bigoted against satanism. And if you think you can hunt me down and harm me for being a Christian, give it your best shot, coward. Try offering a reward for information about me and where I can be found. It's been tried before, but maybe you'll get lucky.

God is love and compassionate. He is not not compassionate because He doesn’t answer our prayers the way we think He ought to, when we think He ought to.

Psalm 103:8-14

8The LORD is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever.
10He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
11For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
12as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
13As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.
14For he knows our frame;
he remembers that we are dust.

This is a nasty tactic. If you can't win in the arena of ideas you issue a threat? And that IS a threat. Shame on you. That sort of thing is uncalled for and smears conservatives.

No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend’s were.
Each man’s death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

These famous words by John Donne were not originally written as a poem - the passage is taken from the 1624 Meditation 17, from Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions and is prose. The words of the original passage are as follows:

John Donne
Meditation 17
Devotions upon Emergent Occasions

“No man is an iland, intire of it selfe; every man is a peece of the Continent, a part of the maine; if a clod bee washed away by the Sea, Europe is the lesse, as well as if a Promontorie were, as well as if a Mannor of thy friends or of thine owne were; any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee....”

No offense but I can’t imagine what it was you did to deserve that.

The same thing I continue to do. Defend life. You may think you’re being original, but you’re just another in a long line of morons.

I’ve had pretty good luck with THAT so far! Maybe that’s because I’ve chosen to be on the same side of THAT as God. At some point, your luck will run out. Where will you be then?
