In all of his TV appearances so far, Weiner has looked about as innocent to me as O.J. Simpson did. No, strike that. Some people think O.J. really is innocent. Nobody could possibly watch Weiner and think he is. He couldn’t look more guilty if he ran down Pennsylvania Avenue at high noon, wearing nothing but a pair of bulging gray underpants.

Alternate theory as to why Weiner won’t turn this over to the Feds: it is not so much worrying about making a false statement as it is facing the investigative process. There is no way in the world that he wants the Feds to look at his OTHER message traffic. The “hack” is just the smoke and there’s real fire to be found.
Its funny. I am a professional photographer. If I ever take a photo of my wife or kids that she doesnt like, she makes me delete it “RIGHT NOW, and show me!” She knows that once the photo is downloaded into my computer, it goes into the system and it will never disappear.
And she knows if it ever goes near the internet it will be out there forever.
And she is right.
Even deleting it on the camera doesn’t get rid of it forever, if I don’t want it to.
Think of a digital camera like a firearm. You do not point it at anything you do not want published for the world to see forever.
Wagging finger and all, Bill Clinton didn't just lie, he went on national TV, pointed a finger at the American public and the world and lied. He not only lied, he dared us to prove it. And so it was...
No, Little Tony Wiener does the same thing, lies to the American public about something so small (no, not meant to be descriptive of the photographed body part) an issue. But, Tony's gotta show he's the big man. He's gotta show he's smarter than everyone else in the room. He goes on TV, he goes on TV every single day everyday, he goes on TV every day multiple times a day and lies and lies and avoids.
And every time he does his foot somehow manages to get inserted into his big, fat liberal mouth a few more inches, defying anyone who thought it not possible. Even his friends in the news and media are stunned about how someone so, supposedly, bright can be such a fool.
He reminds us what we hate about lawyers and politicians.
Rule 1, - Tony, either tell the truth or come up with a plausible story
Rule 2 - get the story out quickly. Stay ahead of the story.
Rule 3 - Finally, stay on message (refer to Rule 1) and don't change the story.
It's just that simple.
For the next 5 years every institute of higher learning in the world that teaches Media Relations (Disaster Management) will be using Tony Wiener and the classic poster boy for failure of the right way to do it. He has done just about everything one should do WRONG.
And what's worse, every single day he fails to learn or understand why.
Tony, if you think everyone didn't know you before, you have changed all that, bud! But for all the wrong reasons...
