Cue up "Isn't it ironic?" by Alanis Morrisette.
This lady had moved after Katrina, the prisoner mentioned at the end of the story was scheduled to be released the next day. Sounds like the beginning of a scary movie about rock throwing lawn mowers.
Bush’s fault.
The reason that this sort of accident does not happen too often in Georgia is they only mow the interstate a couple of times a year.
Ever wonder why allergies and weeds are a constant problem over the past few years here in GA?
At least it covers up all of the trash and cigarette butts.
This is the fault of high union wages. Because you can’t hire a government worker without them costing a huge amount of money, they skimp on manpower. This job should be done with smaller, less lethal equipment, but because of the union money-laundering scam, they tend towards large lethal equipment, as it saves them money.
“Cook said a similar incident occurred in Troup County a few years ago...”
Some lawyer might want to turn it into a scary story about negligent county workers. I’m not sure the lawyer would be wrong.
Doubtful that this has the union label. This is Georgia afterall, we spend most of our money supporting ciminal aliens.
I see. I don’t know a lot about Georgia, except that Atlanta is pretty bad.
Prayers for her family. Like my dear Mother bused to say,”when it’s your time”.....
*USED to say
When Atlanta shut down the Section 8 housing, the roaches scurried out to the burbs. It is bad all over Georgia.
Ban lawn mowers, buy a goat.
“She comes up here to make a new life after Katrina and then this happens ... it’s just unreal,”
Let’s correct this sentence, shall we ?
“”She comes up here to make a new life after Katrina and... “ 6 years goes by “... then this happens ... it’s just unreal,”
This event happened a long time ago. Is this really the mark this woman made during the past few years ? Is that how she’s introduced to groups ?
Aside from that, God Bless this woman. It’s a shame when a peaceful person goes with injuries, blood and suffering.
After that all the mowers around here added chain gaurds to them to help.
stuff happens.
In CA Hwy 88 goes over the Sierras and crosses a place called the Carson Spur(it is a little south of the actual Carson pass), about 10 years ago a couple was crossing the spur on the way to Nevada(tourist from another state, retired)when a rock fell off the slope above the hwy and went through the windshield, killing the wife instantly. Freak accident and a terrible ending to a vacation.
CA HWY 88 at the top of the Sierras is a very beautiful place. If I had to pick a place to die......
Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for a fluke death.
Spmetimes your number just comes up and you are gone.
May she rest in peace.
Out in the prairie west the mowing is contracted out to farmers who cut and bail the grass. Shouldn’t cost the government anything. I suspect they don’t use rock throwing mowers either.
