Her strategy of not revealing the stops on her one nation tour? Crazy brilliant. Who needs a campaign kickoff when you can get a weeks worth of attention hiding on a bus.
Romney, meanwhile, will be lucky to get a few hours of the spotlight with the more traditional Im running for president speech today. The former Massachusetts governor has been running for years, anyway, so its barely even news. The only news will be how much Palin disrupts Romneys event by coming to New Hampshire at the same time.
Palin seems to understand what other candidates dont right now. The 2012 campaign is going to be driven mostly by Internet buzz and social media, not scripted speeches and the network news.
Palin uses Twitter to communicate. Romney uses PowerPoint. Im pretty sure Newt Gingrich still uses a slide projector.
The former Alaska governor also isnt afraid to mix it up with her rivals, and the dreaded mainstream media. This strategy also ensures she will dominate the race, until or unless she gets out (and I dont think she will).
Romney is polite, sometimes to a fault. The only way you can tell hes angry is if his hair is a little mussed. Hes so formal, he thinks taking his tie off is crazy.
It should be interesting today.
With Palin in Boston and heading for the Granite State, its likely she will say something about Romney, and it probably wont be to compliment his leadership on health care.
So Mitt might as well do something unexpected, like maybe call off his speech and visit with storm victims in Massachusetts.
That would really throw off Sarah.
But long term, there is a way for Romney to overcome the obsession with Sarah: Wait it out. Hes not going to outdazzle her, so his best hope for getting nominated is to let Palin and the others mess up (and they will).
If enough Republicans get scared off by Sarah, Newt and the rest, they will turn to good old reliable Mitt.
What's scarier? What Sarah says or what Mitt won't say [Mittcare = Obamacare]?
I wasn’t attacking the wealthy, per se, but elitists like Myth. I’ve never been offered a job by a poor man.
Mitt had more money in 2008 than anybody, even dipping into his on pockets and still couldnt beat “ very little money” huckleberry and old man McCain - money is needed but is really crucial for getting out the message for lesser unknown tier candidates, Sarah is the message and drives her star power over the Internet and Tv by her name alone 2 to 1 over anybody else in politics other than Obama
So while money is important in running, if you don’t have that “IT” factor, you ain’t going anywhere!
Well, MR is a effete snob so I don’t see a problem mocking that aspect of his personality. That’s reality. No lib BS needed.
Glad to hear that. What constitues an elitist anyway? I hear that alot on FR these days.
People who think they know what’s best for the little people. That fits Milt, Barry, Lindseed and a ton of other folks. It’s not limited to the Democratic party. The Beltway bandits, Pelosi, and lots of others, like George Will, Karl Rove, Dr. Krauthammer and most other jourbalists also fit the bill.
There are few Republicans I dislike more than Mitt Romney. I am sickened every time I read he is leading a poll.
Announcing you are running for President is NOT NEWS..
NOT announcing you are running for President IS NEWS..
Eating clams at a Clambake while not running for President
can be very political..
and 0bambi uses crayons.
I see.
Do you really? Are we to ignore the fact that a candidate for the highest office in the land places himself on a higher pedestal than the people he serves and we the people are just to shut the hell up and not call him/and those following a similar philosophy on it because that would be ‘class warfare?
Please. Not in this or any other lifetime.
okey dokey.
You forgot smokey and pokey ;)
Elitism is like porn: I can’t exactly define, but I know it when I see it. Mitt has it.
And last, but not least, artichokey.

Palin vs Romney
Democrats voting in our primaries will be a gigantic problem this time around. Since the de-facto is Obummer, there is no real reason to vote in the primaries, so they will surely try to nominate who they want to run against in ours. Why oh Why do we allow democrats into our primaries?
