Is that not why a president has advisors? I mean that they can know a lot of things, but not everything, but if they surround themself with good advisors, they can go a long way. I think this is where urkel really blew it. Even being the incompetent that he is, if he had surrounded himself with quality people he could have avoided many of his missteps.
I doubt that Obama had enough personal insight to hire competent people, period.
And Reagan, though he might not have gone to an elite school, had an elite education through experience. That, and the education our grandparents had were far better grade-to-grade than anybody after them had.
You’re absolutely right. They have to be advisors who share your worldview but have done study and research on the subject.
You have to be able to surround yourself with excellent people AND know enough to know when they are giving you excellent advice.
