FOX News contributor Charles Krauthammer gives his take on what a "Washington establishment elitist" thinks of a potential Sarah Palin run for the presidency. In self-deprecating fashion, Krauthammer says he wears Palin's "hoity-toity" comment as a badge of honor.
"She is very smart and adept. Great political instincts and is a star. The problem with her, I think, is that she is not schooled. I don't mean she didn't go to the right schools. I mean when you get into policy, beyond instincts -- I like her political instincts, I like her political overall view of the world -- but when it comes to policy, she had two-and-a-half years to school herself and she hasn't and that's a problem," Charles Krauthammer told Bill O'Reilly on Tuesday. "It's not only the lack of schooling, it's the lack of effort to school herself and the lack of insight to see that she needs it."

Oh, come now.... you're not actually going to pretend that Sarah Palin shouldn't be judged according to her rather obvious presidential ambitions, are you?
That's pathetic, even by your standards.
You watch Dancing With The Stars, and expect political wisdom? Great Expectations, huh?
Why not try again, except next time you try to make an actual point?
Wait...
Reading a book...makes u a great leader?
Damn why didn’t we think about that earlier!
Obama having ZERO policy qualifications was overlooked because why? Because he is half black and the MSM love him.
Even if Charles is correct, the numbers on Indies does not look promising for Sarah. And the DC Pub establishment fears and hates her. So, where will the dough come from? My guess is,she is a Queen-King maker and will not run. Who needs the MSM and Dem hate when it is an uphill race. But, I would not be shocked in Bachmann becomes the VP choice for someone. Not at all.
Cool. Citizen Kane. Cool. And, thanks.
Many pundits who call themselves asking "policy questions" are really laying out hypothericals which are dangerous for a leader to answer because of the possibility of being boxed in at a later date.
‘_________McCain was John McCain’s worst enemy in 2008.’
Been thinking for over a year that someone from the other side ‘got’ to him . . .
Probably not alone in that thought.
I like to debate, I don’t think people have to agree with me (and sometimes I change my mind and learn something, otherwise I would just not bother to go out and read what’s out there and engage other people in discussions). But it’s gotten to where I don’t like to get FReepmail, and sometimes I dread seeing that I have a ping. And I’m not always immune, and I do get dragged into the mud too (and that’s my own fault, I should learn to just hold my tongue and shut up).
But seriously, we should be able to have varied opinions, maybe even stupid ones, without the really really nasty stuff. I know the fastest way to get someone to become rock solid on a wrong opinion is to attack them and tell them how stupid they are. They turn you off and just go look for someone who agrees with them.
I agree with this comment.
For some people here, it seems as if you have a different opinion or insight then you are bad. Dissent from certain beliefs makes you an evil person. It makes this website like some of the left wing websites. Some act like juveniles instead of adults.
People should be reminded that this country was founded on dissent. Debate and opposing viewpoints are good. It gets people to think and critique and prohibits groupthink.
How in the hell does Krauthammer know what Palin has been doing in her spare time???
Darn you. You made me have to go look that word up. I hadn’t heard it in so long I forgot what it meant. Sheesh, the cold war is over (or is it coming back! ;)
To paraphrase Homer S.,”Ummm talking heads, is there anything they don’t know?”
Krauthammer has no idea what Palin has been doing behind the scenes. Because he's not in the loop he makes assumptions and then spews them publicly as fact.
Palin could be surrounding herself with the best and the brightest - or not - we don't know and neither does Krauthammer.
To say what he said without knowing the truth makes Krauthammer a person of low character.
Crticize her?
WHAT..you just proved my point..You can get flamed or nasty posts if you even dare bring up anything.
Flame away!
Do you know for a fact he doesn’t know? You may be right, I’m not very plugged in. He is likely far more plugged in than I am. You are probably far more plugged in than I.
