Specifically, Nixon's election signaled the end of the 60s urban race riots. Whether his election was the cause of that, or just then general political climate is of course debatable.
He (Nixon) gave us Carter and Democrat majorities.
I suggest that it was not so much Nixon that caused that as much as it was a State-Run Media sponsored coup de'tat, also known as Watergate.
Speaking of Watergate, somewhere read (but NEVER in the MSM) the burglary goals were to gather direct evidence the USSR and democRat Party were working together. Financially and politically.
